Instagram posts, Reels and carousels
How Hyvo decides between a post, a Reel and a carousel on Instagram, and how to add collaborators and tag people.
When a post goes to Instagram, the composer shows an Instagram format setting for it.
Post, Reel or carousel
- One photo: a feed post.
- One video: choose Post or Reel.
- Two to four files: a carousel people swipe through.
Every Instagram post needs at least one photo or video. Instagram doesn't accept text-only posts.
Collaborators
Add up to 3 collaborators by their Instagram username. Instagram sends each one an invite; when they accept, the post appears on their profile too.
Tag people
On a single-photo post, you can tag up to 20 people by username.
Caption
An Instagram caption can be up to 2,200 characters. Hashtags and mentions count toward that limit.
