Connect an Instagram account
Connect an Instagram Business or Creator account to Hyvo. A personal account needs to switch to a professional account first; it's free, and you keep your followers.
Hyvo works with Instagram Business and Creator accounts. Instagram doesn't let apps publish to personal accounts.
Before you start: use a professional account
If your Instagram account is personal, switch it to a professional account in the Instagram app's settings (Instagram calls it a Business or Creator account). It's free, and you keep your posts and followers.
Connect your account
- In Hyvo, choose Connect in the sidebar, then Instagram.
- Instagram opens. Sign in to the account you want to connect.
- Approve the access Hyvo asks for.
- You're taken back to Hyvo, and the account appears on the Connect page.
What Hyvo can do on Instagram
- Publish feed posts, carousels and Reels. See Instagram posts, Reels and carousels.
- Schedule posts.
- Show likes and comments on your posts in Analytics.
Things Instagram requires
- Every post needs a photo or a video. Instagram doesn't accept text-only posts.
- Captions can't be edited from another app after a post is published. Edit it in the Instagram app instead.
- Up to 4 files per post in Hyvo.
