Connect an X (Twitter) account

Connect X on a Starter, Growth or Scale plan. Hyvo uses your X account's own character limit, including 25,000 for X Premium.

X is available on the Starter, Growth and Scale plans. It isn't included in the Free plan; if you're on Free, Hyvo offers the plans that include it.

Connect your account

  1. In Hyvo, choose Connect in the sidebar, then X.
  2. X opens. Sign in and choose Authorize app.
  3. Back in Hyvo, the account appears on the Connect page.

What Hyvo can do on X

  • Publish posts with up to 4 photos or videos.
  • Schedule posts.
  • Show impressions, likes, replies, reposts, quotes and bookmarks in Analytics.

Character limits

A standard X account can post 280 characters. If your account has X Premium (or Basic or Premium+), you can write up to 25,000. Hyvo reads your account's tier from X and sets the composer's counter to match.

If Hyvo can't tell your tier yet (for example, just after connecting), it uses 280 to be safe, so X never cuts your post short.

Good to know

  • X doesn't let apps edit a published post. To change one, Hyvo can repost it with the new text; the old post and its likes are removed.
  • If you move from a paid plan to Free, X stays connected but can't publish from Hyvo until you're on a paid plan again.
