Add photos and videos
Which file types Hyvo accepts, how many files a post can carry, and the size and length limits on each plan.
In the composer, choose Add photo or video and pick files from your computer or phone. You can also drag files onto the composer. Drag attached files to change their order.
File types
- Photos: JPEG, PNG, WebP and GIF, up to 8 MB each.
- Videos: MP4 and MOV.
Hyvo checks every file for safety before it's attached. A file that isn't one of these types, or that fails the check, is refused with a message saying why.
How many files
A post can carry up to 4 files. Some platforms take fewer:
- LinkedIn: one image or one video per post.
- Instagram: every post needs at least one photo or video.

Videos must also be no larger than 4096 pixels on their longest side.
If an upload fails
- Check the file type and size: photos must be JPEG, PNG, WebP or GIF up to 8 MB, and videos MP4 or MOV within your plan's length and size limits.
- On a slow connection, large videos take a while. Keep the composer open until the upload finishes.
- If a post says "The media on this post is no longer stored", attach the file again and publish once more.
