Roles and permissions
What owners, admins and members can do, and how to choose exactly what each member can do and which accounts they can use.
Everyone in a workspace has one of three roles. You choose a person's role when you invite them to your workspace.
| Role | Can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything, including billing. Each workspace has one owner. |
| Admin | People, accounts and content: invite and remove people, connect accounts, and publish. |
| Member | Writes posts. More can be granted, one switch at a time. |
What someone can't do, they aren't shown. For example, members don't see Connect in the sidebar.
Choose what a member can do
In Settings → Members, open a member's access to switch these on or off:
- Publish: send posts live straight away.
- Schedule: queue posts for a time.
- Delete: remove posts and drafts.
- Approve posts: approve or send back posts for the accounts they can reach.
- View analytics: see how posts performed.
Then choose which accounts they can use. A member only sees and posts to the accounts you share with them.
Choose Save access to apply it.
Members who can't publish
A member without Publish (or Schedule) sends posts for review instead. When your workspace requires approval, a member's post shows Needs approval until someone approves it. See Review posts with approvals.
